I’m going to shift gears for a minute. I am and have always been a fan of the Star Wars franchise. I remember the day we sat in the theater and heard Darth Vader (James Earl Jones) say “I am your father.” Maaannneee, what??? I think I went to bed that night hearing that voice in my head 😂 Vader was no joke!
Fast forward past the original trilogy and there was little Vader as a dusty boy who came from immaculate conception and Jar Jar Binks and all kinds of stereotypes happening. I enjoyed them all though and watched them over and over again. When the DVD set came out, I had to have it! The ex-wife bought it for me. Mucho appreciato.
Then years later, we go for another spin across the galaxy and get the next chapter following the original trilogy. Of course it was met with serious criticism but I still pieced together moments of enjoyment because it was still part of the childhood fantasy and contributed to the continuity of lifelong memories and happiness. But, dang that second movie (Last Jedi) really sucked. The trilogy ended okay though and I was happy. Just not that serious..
In between all of that, I watched all the animated series. Loved the Clone Wars and Bad Batch and finally began to understand the Rebels series, Tales of the Jedi, etc. Then there were all the live action series. I have been loving the ride! Mandalorian.. Boba Fett.. Obi-Wan.. Ashoka.. Keep them coming! I’m here for it all, regardless of how goofy they can be sometimes.
Now, the point of all this…
I just, finally, read Heir to the Empire by Timothy Zhan. All I can say is, wow, who knew?? Well, I didn’t. That book was so good! And, I swear, it helped put all of the pieces of the puzzle together. SMDH. I had no idea. From R2-D2’s capabilities, to Leia becoming a Jedi, she and Han Solo’s marriage and pregnancy, the return of Lando, the Wookiees language, and of course – Grand Admiral Thrawn! So cool. Read it! Can’t wait to read the next one, Dark Force Rising.

Alright, I completely geeked out for a minute and will move on – until the Mandalorian Season 4 comes out! -Peace
