Raul de Nieves at Transformer Station

I stopped by the Transformer Station in the very cool Ohio City area on Cleveland’s Near West Side for a quick peak at the Raul de Nieves exhibit. The number of figures were few (thus the quick peak), but getting a closer look at each figure, it’s easy to understand why there weren’t many. Each figure was large, but more importantly, was so intricately and intensely detailed and designed. They were a bit mind-blowing to be perfectly honest. Regardless of one’s artistic preference, the costumes were phenomenal – intriguing, inspiring, and entertaining.


Once I returned home from the visit, I looked up Raul de Nieves and learned more about his style, his passion, his background and experiences. Check out the video below.
